So much has happened in the past few months, and we\u2019re looking forward to another period when you, our supporters will continue to help us to provide further grants for midwifery students in Liberia. As Spring turns to Summer, The Helen Loewenstein Memorial Trust encourages you to actively contribute to what HLMT does<\/strong><\/em>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Why not organise a fundraising event for HLMT?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On your own perhaps together with a few friends. A sponsored run or walk, a sponsored silence, a cake sale, a music night \u2013 the possibilities are endless! And we can help you with publicity.

2. Interested in becoming one of 12 HLMT trustees?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Then please email us at info@hlmt.org.uk<\/strong><\/a> <\/em><\/strong>to find out more and whether it\u2019s for you. We\u2019re looking for new trustees who have one or more of these characteristics: are under 40, from diverse ethnic backgrounds, have midwifery experience and are skilled in the use of social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. The eight Liberian midwifery students that HLMT currently supports<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

are all performing well. In March we received the students\u2019 assessments and grade sheets from Willimai Weetol-Geninyan, Director of the Esther Bacon School of Nursing and Midwifery for the first semester of 2022-23. We\u2019re delighted to report that all students have achieved very good results, some of them excellent grades, with no one receiving grades lower than B and several students achieving high As.<\/p>\n\n\n
