HLMT presented another great evening of music to a packed hall. The audience was treated to a musical feast by 3 great acts:
- Cellotapes: Americana, bluegrass, country, blues & jazz quartet with four part harmonies. On a roll!
- Paul Carbuncle: Some call it folk-punk, while others call it punk-folk
- Strawberry Jammers: A feast of folk, a hint of blues and a little bit of rock and roll
At the end of a brilliant evening, a wonderful amount of just over £1,000 had been raised for HLMT funds, all of which will go to paying the study and accommodation fees of student midwives in Liberia.
Huge thanks go to all the musicians, who played free of charge, to Dave and Marion Downs who did a superb job on sound. Also to HLMT trustees Pippa, Stella and Pete, supported by supporters Chris J, Denise, Ingrid, Joan, Kate, Leonie, Lyn, Michael and Roger T, who did the background work before, during and after the event. Special thanks, too, to Sherwood URC whose hall hire to HLMT was at the usual very subsidised rate.
